Ingredients For cornmeal scrapple

  • 1 c
    cornmeal
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1 tsp
    sugar
  • 8 oz
    bulk pork sausage cooked
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 tsp
    salt

How To Make cornmeal scrapple

  • 1
    combine cornmeal, milk,sugar, and salt. Gradually stir into 2 3/4 cups boiling water; cook and stir till thick. Cook, covered, over low heat 10 to 15 minutes. finally crumble sausage; add to cornmeal mixture, pour into7 1/2-3 3/4- 2 1/4inch loaf pan . cover and chill. at least 1 hr. then, cut scrapple into 1/2 inch slices; dip in flour. fry slowly in butter for 15 to 20 minutes. serve
