This is a simple but delicious recipe that I came up with one evening when I was trying to figure out how to make plain old rice not so plain. I wanted something different, something I hadn't had before.

Ingredients For salmon rice

2 cwater

1 clong grain rice; i prefer zataran's

1/2 tspsalt

1 can(5 ounce can) skinless, boneless pink salmon

garlic powder; to taste

1 tspchives, dried

lemon juice; to taste

butter or margerine
How To Make salmon rice

1Bring to boil, water and salt

2Add rice, stir until boiling again, then lower heat to simmer, cover. Let simmer for 15 minutes.

3Add butter or margerine, and salmon, (not drained), garlic powder, chives and lemon juice.Stir well and let simmer for another 5 minutes. Serve hot.
