Ingredients For moms tuna melt casserole.

  • 16 oz
    corkscrew macaroni
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 2 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    each, salt and pepper
  • 3 c
    milk, i used fat-free
  • 2 c
    shredded swiss cheese, divided, i used reduced-fat
  • 3
    6 oz cans tuna in water, drained, flaked
  • 2 lg
    heirloom tomatoes, cut into 1/4"-thick slices
  • 1/2 c
    breadcrumbs, i used italian style, but you can use plain

How To Make moms tuna melt casserole.

    Heat oven to 400. Spray a 9" x 13" casserole dish w/ cooking spray. In saucepan, over low heat, melt butter. Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Stirring, cook 1 mins.

    Spoon mix into casserole dish. Arrange tomatoes on top. Sprinkle w/ breadcrumbs. Cover dish w/ foil and bake 20 mins. Uncover and bake 10 more mins, or until bubbly.
