This is a healthy and delicious alternative to a plain ordinary tuna melt. C. Cheese. A. Avocado. T. Tuna fish... C.A.T.! I wanted tuna fish for lunch but also wanted some avocado. I am trying to eat healthily and lose weight. I also wanted a grilled cheese sandwich. So after thinking about it, I came up with this. Avocados are very healthy. They are high in fat but it's the healthy fat your body needs. Coconut oil has health benefits too. I think this is a delicious alternative to a grilled tuna melt. Try it and see.

Blue Ribbon Recipe

This grilled C.A.T. sandwich is not your ordinary tuna salad sandwich. If you don't like tuna fish, we guarantee you'll make this over and over. Combining avocado with tuna makes the tuna fish very creamy. The bread is toasted with coconut oil and is nice and crispy. You won't miss the butter. Top the tuna salad with your favorite cheese. We've used Swiss and Havarti. Both melted nicely for a decadent, yet healthy, sandwich.

    6
Then put a layer of the avocado tuna mix on the cheese.
  • Add salt, pepper, and any additional spices.
    7
Add salt, pepper, and any other spices you may like.

  • Place the second piece of bread on top oiled side up.
    9
Place the other slice of bread on top of the cheese.
