baked macaroni and cheese with tuna
This is my idea of comfort food. I love Mac and Cheese. Paring it with tuna gives me a complete Main course. If you like Tuna, and Mac and cheese. You will love this casserole with the buttery crumb topping.

Ingredients For baked macaroni and cheese with tuna

8 ozmacaroni elbows(1/2 box)
- TUNA

2 can5 ounce can white tuna in water

2stalk celery finely chopped
-
4 Tbspchopped sweet onion

1 Tbspdried parsley
-
4 Tbspmayonnaise

1 tspdijon mustard
-
1/2 tsppaprika
-
1pinch of black pepper and salt
-
1/4 tspdill weed

1 ccorn
-
1 cfrozen peas cooked and drained if desired
- SAUCE
-
1 2/3 cwhole milk
-
10 ozabout 10 ounces cubed vermont sharp cheddar cheese

1/2 tspnutmeg
-
salt and pepper to taste

2 Tbspflour
-
2 Tbspbutter
- CRUMB TOPPING
-
1/2sleeve ritz cracker
-
2 Tbspbutter melted
-
4 Tbspparmesan cheese
How To Make baked macaroni and cheese with tuna

1Cook macaroni according to directions on box but Aldente. Some firmness

2While macaroni is cooking combine all ingredients for tuna in a bowl. Mix well. Drain macaroni and stir in to tuna mixture. Place in buttered casserole dish.

3In a pan melt 2 tablespoons butter. Heat until melted. Add the flour and stir until thickened. Add the milk and the cheese, nutmeg, salt and pepper. Cook and stir until cheese is melted and bubbly.

4Pour cheese mixture over macaroni. Stir from bottom to top to combine.

5Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in microwave. Grind crackers in food processor. Mix with butter, and parmesan cheese. Sprinkle on top of casserole. Bake at 350 for about 45 minutes, pr until top is golden brown.
