Ingredients For parmesan oven-fried chicken

  • 2 - 3 lbs. bone-in cut up chicken or 3 chicken breasts cut in half. leave skin on .
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoon paprika
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 eggs slightly beaten
  • 2/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup fine dry bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoon crisco

How To Make parmesan oven-fried chicken

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  • 2
    Coat chicken with mixture of flour, salt, pepper and paprika.

    Dip in mixture of eggs and milk beaten together. Mix bread crumbs and parmesan cheese and roll chicken pieces in it. Let stand for 5 to 10 minutes.

    Melt butter and Crisco in shallow baking pan in heated oven. Place chicken skin-side down in pan.

    Bake 30 minutes. Turn chicken skin-side up and continue baking until chicken is tender - about 30 more minutes.
