An easy Crock Pot meal on a cold winter day. I always make the (Sweet Corn Bread found on this site) to go with this dish. I typically let it simmer half a day. Depending on the crowd, I add a can of white corn and a dash or two of Tabasco.

This is different from any other white chicken chili recipe we've tried. It's on the mild side and creamy but where it differs is the addition of clove. When you first take a bite, you taste the seasoning and won't be able to put your finger on it. It's a secret ingredient that adds to the overall flavor of this one-pot chicken chili. Cheese and sour cream are great additions and make this richer and creamier. Great for a cold night!

Ingredients For northern white chili

3 ccooked chicken, I buy a rotisserie chicken

2 cannorthern white beans, 15 oz each

3 Tbspchopped onion

1 tspbutter
-
1 canchiles, canned and mild

1/2 tsporegano, dried

1 dashcayenne pepper

2 cwater
-
3chicken bouillon cube
-
1 tspcumin
-
1/2 tspcloves
-
1 cheavy cream
-
shredded monterey cheese
-
sour cream
How To Make northern white chili

1Shred cooked chicken.

2Sauté onion in butter until tender.

3Add all ingredients minus cream, sour cream, and cheese.

4Let simmer on high for one hour or low for as long as needed. Thirty minutes before time to eat, add heavy cream.

5Serve with shredded cheese and sour cream (opt).
