We eat a lot of chicken, and I wanted something different. So, I came up with this sauce to put on my spicy chicken, and it took the taste of the chicken to a whole new level. My husband loved it. I will be using it on other meats too.

This sauce is sooo good. It was really yummy on chicken, but I bet it would be great with a quesadilla or chips. The spices were just right for me. If it's too spicy for you, just adjust to suit your taste buds!

Ingredients For nelda's spicy chicken with avocado sauce

  • 2
    avocados, scooped out and chopped
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 3 Tbsp
    lime juice
  • 1 1/2
    chipotle pepper in adobo sauce, choppped
  • 1/2 pkg
    dry ranch dressing
  • 2 Tbsp
    Dijon mustard
  • 2 tsp
    minced garlic
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 3-4
    boneless chicken breast
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Tony Chachere's More Spice Seasoning, or seasoning of your choice
  • 4 Tbsp
    olive oil, enough to sear chicken

How To Make nelda's spicy chicken with avocado sauce

    For sauce: In blender or food processor add avocados, sour cream, lime juice, chipotle, ranch, mustard, garlic, salt and pepper. Blend well. For chicken: Salt and pepper chicken and sprinkle with seasoning. Sear chicken in olive oil until done. Serve sauce on top of chicken.
