Ingredients For mandarin chicken stir-fry

  • 3 tsp
    frozen orange juice concentrate
  • 2 tsp
    tamari
  • 1/2 tsp
    granulated garlic
  • 1/2 tsp
    cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 1 lb
    boneless, skinless chicken breast cut into thin strips
  • 1/4 lb
    broccoli florets
  • 2 md
    carrots cut into 1 inch matchsticks
  • 1 sm
    white onion cut into 16 wedges
  • 1 can
    sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 1 can
    mandarin orange segments, drained
  • 4 tsp
    sliced almonds

How To Make mandarin chicken stir-fry

    In a small bowl whisk together orange juice concentrate, tamari, granulated garlic and cornstarch, set aside.

    Heat oil in a large skilled over medium high heat.

    Add chicken strips and stir fry for 3 minutes.

    Add onion, broccoli, carrots and water chestnuts. Stir fry for 6 minutes.

    Add sauce, cook 1 to 2 minutes.

    Remove from heat-gently stir in mandarin segments.

    Serve over hot rice or lo mein noodles, top with almond slices.
