linda's hot lemon-herb chicken wings
I made this recipe about 35 yrs ago. There is a story behind it... I was living in Ithaca, NY and next door to me were a bunch of frat boys from Cornell U that would ask me to cook things for their parties. Once it was the hottest chili they could get - and they got it, too! One time they wanted hot chicken wings but not the norm, ie: Buffalo hot wings. So I mixed the hot sauce with a lemon herb recipe that I had and it was a HUGE hit with boys, who went on to ask for this dish numerous times. Those in my family that love hot wings love this recipe too!
Blue Ribbon Recipe
Oh my, these are really good hot lemon chicken wings. We dipped them twice and they had a medium heat which we enjoyed. The lemon juice, along with seasonings, is a delicious alternative to traditional Buffalo wings. Great for snacking on while watching football.
