kj's baked chicken with wine

I don't drink, so really don't know a thing about wines of any kind. After spending many hours at the local State Liquor Store, learning about all the wines, I have concluded that you can use any that you prefer to cook with, rather white or red. My taste is more towards woody, fruit wine, some are Greek, some, Spanish. Think I have covered half of Europe in my cooking. I even use it in making my spaghetti sauce when I can it in summer. Be open minded and try cooking with all kinds of liquor!

  • 6 lg
    pieces of chicken, any kind
  • 1/2 c
    real butter-melted
  • 1 tsp
    dill, parsley basil, pepper
  • 1 tsp
    minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    red wine of choice

How To Make kj's baked chicken with wine

    Wash the chicken and pat dry. I usually will lay the chicken on a bed of my fried rice (see KJ's Fried Rice recipe)

    Mix the melted butter, wine, and all spices together in large cup, bowl. Use a basting, pastry brush to put on the individual chicken pieces.

    Pace in oven and bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Baste with remaining wine, butter mixture until all is used. Continue baking until done.
