I serve this over chicken schnitzel, sitting on top of a bed of teriyaki rice with coleslaw or lettuce.

Ingredients For katsu sauce

  • 1/3 c
    ketchup
  • 1/4 c
    soy sauce
  • 1/4 c
    sugar (brown or white)
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    worstershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic
  • ground pepper
  • 1/4 tsp
    chicken stock powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    vegetable stock powder
  • pinch
    fresh ginger
  • 1/4 c
    water

How To Make katsu sauce

  • 1
    Heat sugar, soy sauce & stocks for 1 minute in microwave. Add remaining ingredients & whisk to combine.
