Ingredients For janet's crispy crusty baked chicken

    frying chicken 3 to 3 1/2 lbs .cut up
  • 1
    egg
  • 2 Tbsp
    milk
  • 1 c
    instant potatoes ( flaked )
  • 1 tsp
    garlic salt
  • 1/4 c
    grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 c
    butter

    Heat oven to 400 degrees
  • 2
    Wash chicken pieces, pat dry and set aside.

    Beat egg and milk in a bowl.
  • 4
    In another bowl mix potato flakes and Parmesan cheese.

    Roll chicken first in egg mixture, then potato mixture
  • 6
    Melt butter in a shallow baking pan. Roll coated chicken pieces in butter then place skin side up in the pan.

    Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until juices from thighs run clear when pierced with a fork.
