I decided it was time to make some changes to my diet. I love good food (who on this site doesn't right?) Breakfast sausage is a real treat. Now you can serve it to your family more often and feel good about the ingredients. This recipe saves a ton of calories!

  • 16 oz
    ground turkey or chicken breast
  • 1 md
    apple, peeled, seeded, and finely grated
  • 1/2 c
    cooked brown rice
  • 2
    tablespoons, finely grated onion
  • 2 clove
    garlic, finely grated
  • 1 1/2
    teaspoons ground sage
  • 1
    teaspoon salt
  • 1/2
    teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 1/2
    teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2
    teaspoon dried tyme
  • 1/4
    teaspoon allspice

How To Make healthy homemade breakfast sausage

    Mix all ingredients until very well blended by using your hands or a mixer.

    Separate into patties or use in your favorite recipes containing sausage. To keep calories low use cooking spray instead of oils to cook your sausage.
