general tao's chicken my way
This is so good. I am not a huge fan of a lot of heat I prefer it to be sweet with a small touch of heat. So I modified this recipe to make it happen. Yummmm

1/2 ccornstarch

1/4 cwater

4 clovegarlic minced

1inch piece ginger minced

1red chilies, minced

1 cbrown sugar

1/2 csoy sauce

1/4 crice wine vinegar
-
1/4 cshaoxing chinese wine or sherry

1 cchicken broth
-
1/4 cmirin
-
2 Tbspoyster sauce
-
meat
-
3 lbchicken cut into chunks

1/4 csoy sauce

1 lgegg beaten
-
1 ccornstarch
-
vegetables
-
2 cbroccoli florets blanched in salted water

1 cgreen onions chopped

oil for deep frying
How To Make general tao's chicken my way

1Mix all ingredients for sauce together and refrigerate until ready to use. I use a large mason jar to mix sauce and then just shake it up good before using

2For the meat mix soy sauce cornstarch and egg together. Dredge the meat in the mixture coating well. Coating will be sticky. Cook in 350 degrees hot grease or deep fryer and drain on paper towels.

3Take sauce out of fridge and pour into large sauce pan. Cook until start to boil and thicken. Add chicken, broccoli, and green onions. cook until warmed through. Serve over rice.
