This is a filling delicious meal, simple enough when it is just the family but elegant enough for guests. I came up with this recipe while try to think of something nice and special to fix for my parents' 20th Anniversary dinner. It was a big hit and became a go to meal, and the leftovers are great heated up the next day for lunch. Hope you enjoy it and let me know what you think.

Ingredients For french mushroom chicken

  • 2 1/2-3 pounds of your favorite chicken parts i use legs and thighs with the skin left on
  • 1 can
    cambell's french onion soup
  • 1 can
    cambell's cream of mushroom soup
  • 1
    soup can if red wine or i guess you could use half beef half chicken stock
  • 1 1/2 c
    uncooked rice

How To Make french mushroom chicken

    Spray a 5 quart slow cooker with cooking spray
  • 2
    Wash the chicken and pat dry and salt and pepper the chicken
  • 3
    In a bowl mix the soups and wine/broth
  • 4
    Pour half the liquid mixture in the bottom of the cooker, place chicken In the cooker and cover with the remainder of the liquid
  • 5
    Cook on high for forty-five minutes to an hour. Reduce heat and cook on low for 6 hours
  • 6
    Serve over rice or noodles with a salad and crusty French bread
