One of my favorite dishes when I was little was fried chicken. I got married right out of high school and had no idea how to make it, so I just made this up when I was about 18. For a lot of years it was the only way I knew how to make fried chicken. Now that I'm an old lady, I know several ways to make it, but there are none my kids like better. That's probably just because this is the recipe they grew up eating, but who knows, I'd like to think its because the recipe is just that good! At least that's what I'd like to think... ;)

Ingredients For crispy fried chicken

  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp
    seasoned salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    paul prudone's poultry magic
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 2 tsp
    paprika
  • 2
    eggs
  • 2/3 c
    milk
  • 6
    assorted chicken pieces, skinned off or on, your choice.

How To Make crispy fried chicken

    Mix together first 6 ingredients in a medium bowl.

    In a separate bowl, beat eggs and milk together.

    Roll chicken in flour mixture, then dip in egg mixture, then roll again in flour mixture. Fry in hot oil until browned.

    Place chicken pieces on a rack over a foil lined pan and bake at 350 for 30 minutes more.
