Ingredients For chinese roast chicken

6 lgcloves of garlic whole

1inch piece of ginger peeled

1/4 csoy sauce

3 Tbsphoney

1 tspchinese 5 spice

1/2 tspsesame oil

1/4 cchinese shaoxing wine

skin coating

How To Make chinese roast chicken

1Place ginger and garlic inside cavity of chicken. Mix soy sauce, honey, five-spice, wine, and sesame oil together. Place chicken in large plastic bag and pour marinade overtop. Seal bag and let marinate overnight in refrigerator.

2Remove chicken from marinade and discard the marinade. Keep the garlic, and ginger inside of chicken. Let chicken sit for 30 minutes at room temp to dry.

3Mix skin coating together and rub all over chicken. let chicken sit another 2 hours on counter turning and rubbing skin every 30 minutes.

4Bake at 400 degrees for 1 hour.
