This is a recipe from my mom. I'm sure there are probably lots of this type of recipe out there. Still, it's good and better yet, it's easy.

Ingredients For chicken and rice casserole

  • 1/2 c
    milk (1 or 2%)
  • 1 c
    rice, instant white or brown
  • 1/2 pkg
    dry onion soup mix
  • 1 can
    cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can
    cream of chicken soup
  • 4-8
    chicken pieces
  • salt

How To Make chicken and rice casserole

  • 1
    Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
  • 2
    In a large bowl, mix the soups, milk, and rice.
  • 3
    Pour into an 8x12 casserole dish.
  • 4
    Place lightly salted chicken pieces on top of the rice.
  • 5
    Sprinkle the dry onion soup mix over the top of the chicken pieces.

    Cover the casserole dish with aluminum foil.
  • 7
    Bake for one hour.
  • 8
    Uncover the casserole and bake for another ten minutes.
