We had never heard of this as we were born in Montana and North Dakota. Upon moving to California many years ago, it quickly became a favorite. Always thought it was time consuming to make, but this is a very easy and quick recipe!

Ingredients For chicken adobo

8-10chicken thighs

3-4 clovegarlic, chopped

1/2onion, chopped

1/2 Tbspsugar
-
1 Tbspblack peppercorns, whole

3bay leaves

1/2 csoy sauce
-
1/2 capple cider vinegar
-
water to cover
How To Make chicken adobo

1Sauté onions and garlic.

2Add chicken and brown both sides.

3Add soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, peppercorns, bay leaves.

4Add enough water to cover chicken.

5Cook over medium heat until tender. Turn heat up and boil liquid to thicken.

6Usually served over steamed rice. May garnish with chopped green onions (optional).
