1/2 cprepared caesar salad dressing

4boneless skinless chicken breasts cubed

6 slicebacon
-
8 ozfresh mushrooms chopped

1 lgonion chopped

4 clovegarlic minced
-
4 Tbspbutter
-
6 Tbspflour
-
3 cchicken broth
-
2 cheavy cream
-
2 cgruyere cheese grated

1/4 cparsley chopped

salt and pepper

1 lbangel hair pasta cooked and drained
How To Make smothered chicken casserole

1Marinate the chicken in the Caesar dressing 6 hours or overnight. Cook bacon and remove with slotted spoon to a paper towel. Reserve the bacon grease.

2Remove chicken from dressing and shake off any excess discard the dressing. Cook chicken in bacon grease until browned. Place chicken in a greased casserole dish.

3Add the butter to the pan and saute the onions, mushrooms, and garlic until softened. Stir in the flour and make a roux.

4Stir in the chicken broth and the cream. cook until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in the remaining ingredients except pasta. Season to taste.

5Pour over chicken in casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 to 25 minutes. Serve over pasta.

6Tip This is great over egg noodles also.
