This dish is so decadent and creamy! We loved the addition of cream cheese. It adds a slight tang and makes the macaroni super creamy. Even though there's only a little bit, you taste a bit of spiciness from the mustard. Very yummy! Perfect as an entree or a side dish. A great recipe to use leftover holiday ham too.

Ingredients For cheese and macaroni with ham

6 Tbspbutter

3 Tbspflour

2 cmilk

8 ozcream cheese

2 cshredded cheddar

2 tspspicy brown mustard

1/2 tspsalt

1/4 tsppepper

3 cuncooked macaroni

3/4 cbreadcrumbs

2 Tbspparsley, minced

1ham steak, precooked and cubed
How To Make cheese and macaroni with ham

1Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cook macaroni.

2Melt 4 tablespoons butter in large saucepan. Stir in flour until smooth. Add milk, stir constantly until bubbly. Add cream cheese. After melted, stir in salt, pepper, and mustard.

3Add cheddar, stir; remove from heat.

4Combine pasta, ham, and sauce.

5Add to baking dish.

6In a separate small pan melt 2 tablespoons butter; toss breadcrumbs and parsley.

7Sprinkle over macaroni.

8Bake uncovered at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
