Many years ago, someone in the family collected recipes from descendants of my great grandparents, William M. and Florence E. (Snodgrass) Whaley and had them compiled into a cookbook. I am posting those recipes here so that they will not be lost. This recipe was submitted by Chad Palmer

Ingredients For chad's chicken and broccoli casserole

3chicken breasts, boiled and cut up

1 pkg10 oz frozen broccoli

1 clong grain wild rice, cooked

1 cdiced celery
-
1 lgonion, diced

2 Tbspbutter or margarine

1 cancream of chicken soup
-
1 cancream of mushroom soup

1 jarsmall jar process cheese spread (cheez whiz)
How To Make chad's chicken and broccoli casserole

1Boil 1 cup of water and pour over broccoli; let stand.

2Sauté onion and celery in butter.

3Add soups, rice and cheese spread.

4Drain and chop broccoli; add to rice mixture.

5Add chicken. Mix well.

6Pour mixture into a casserole dish that has been buttered or sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Bake 45 minutes at 350°F. oven.
