sparrow's hamburger pile-up

I've made this dish for my kids while they were growing up but my granddaughter Sparrow really took a shine to it. Whenever I ran out of ideas for what to fix her for dinner (she lived with me for a while) her answer was "that hamburger pile-up!" So this is named in honor of her.

Ingredients For sparrow's hamburger pile-up

  • 1 bag
    frozen hamburger patties
  • 1 md
    potatoes, mashed
  • 2 - 3 slice
    colby jack cheese
  • seasoning to taste

How To Make sparrow's hamburger pile-up

    Ask the crowd you're feeding how many hamburger patties they want, 1 or 2. Put them on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees. When done, pat off the grease with paper towels and season.

    while the meat is cooking make your favorite mashed potato recipe. It doesn't matter how you like it, just make the one your family and friends enjoy the best.

    Wipe off the grease from the cookie sheet and put the patties back on. Lay one slice of cheese on the meat, put a generous scoop of mashed potatoes on top and top that with one or two slices of cheese. Put under broiler until cheese melts. Then they're ready to serve! Hope your family enjoy's Sparrow's favorite dinner as much as she does!
