How To Make burgers and beans and a wrap

  • 1
For the Beans: Heat a frying pan with a tablespoon of olive oil; add the onions and brown sugar and sauté until the onions are soft and transparent. Heat a small frying pan and grill the jalapeño. Heat a large frying pan with a tablespoon of olive oil; add the garlic and parsley and sauté until the garlic is fragrant; add the onions with brown sugar, chopped jalapeño and the baked beans; add the spices and simmer on low. For the Burgers: Cube the beef and place in a food processor and chop. Place the meat in a bowl and add the shredded cheese, garlic, parsley and Worcestershire sauce and mix. Form the meat into desired sized burgers. Heat a cast iron frying pan with a tablespoon of olive oil; do not over crowd the pan. Sauté the burgers until a nice char is reached on one side then flip and finish cooking. Let the burgers cook until they reach the doneness you desire; rare, medium or well done. The amount of time it takes to cook the burgers depends on how large you make the burgers. For the Wraps: Place the flour in a bowl; add all the dry ingredients and the parsley and toss. Add the olive oil and stir; slowly add the warm water until the dough comes together. Knead 2 or 3 times in the bowl. Flour a clean surface and place the dough on the surface. Cut the dough into four pieces and form balls and cut the balls in half and form balls. Roll out as thin as possible but still manageable. Place on a hot griddle. When bubbles form, flip and finish cooking. Build Your Burger: Place the wrap on the plate, top with the lettuce, then beans, then tomato and finally the burger. Garnish with your favorite condiment.
