Ingredients For zesty italian chili

  • 3/4 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 2 lg
    onions, chopped
  • 2 lg
    red bell peppers, chopped
  • 1 lg
    green bell pepper, chopped
  • 5 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1 tsp
    italian seasoning
  • 1/4 c
    dry red wine
  • 3
    zucchini, chopped
  • 2 sm
    pepperoncini peppers, chopped
  • 1 jar
    (24-26 oz.) marinara sauce
  • 1 can
    (15 oz.) cannellini beans, rinsed and drained

How To Make zesty italian chili

  • 1
    Cook beef in skillet over medium-high heat until no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Drain and transfer to slow cooker.

    Heat oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Cook onions, peppers, and garlic, stirring, for 5 minutes. Transfer to slow cooker.

    Add remaining ingredients and 1 tsp. salt. Cover and cook on LOW setting for 4 to 5 hours. Garnish with chopped basil, if desired.
