I rarely make my pot roast the same, but this one turned out so well I wrote it down. It also makes it's own gravy.

Ingredients For yummy pot roast

3 lbsirloin rump roast or your favorite type

1 1/2 cpinot noir wine

5garlic cloves, whole
-
1 pkglipton dried beefy onion soup mix
-
3/4 cwater
-
1 pkgbaby carrots
-
1 lbbutton mushrooms
-
2bay leaves
-
1 Tbspthyme, dried

1 Tbsptarragon, dried

salt & pepper to taste
-
few dashworcestershire sauce

good quality olive oil to brown the meat

all purpose flour to dredge the meat in
How To Make yummy pot roast

1Salt and pepper the meat, then dredge the meat in flour. Brown the meat in olive oil to seal in the flavor. The flour also helps to make a gravy out of the juices.

2Place the meat in a crock pot that is set on high.

3Add all ingredients except the carrots and mushrooms and and bring to a simmer, reduce the heat to low and cook for 4-5 hours. In the last hour add the mushrooms and carrots.

4I like to serve it with mashed potatoes and a green vegetable.
