Ingredients For updated onion burger

2 lblean ground beef

1 ozdry onion soup mix (1 envelope)

1/2 cwater

2 clovegarlic, chopped

1 Tbsphot pepper sauce (can adjust to taste)

1/8 tspchili powder
-
1/4 tspketchup
-
1/4 tspprepared yellow mustard

1/8 tspground black pepper
-
4whole wheat hamburger buns
-
4 slicemonterey jack cheese with jalapeno peppers

4 sliceonions, optional but recommened

1avocado, peeled, pitted and sliced
How To Make updated onion burger

1Preheat broiler or grill. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, onion soup mix, water, garlic, hot pepper sauce, chili powder, ketchup, mustard, and pepper using your hands.

2Pat into 4 large thick patties.

3Place them on broiler pan or grill. Broil or grill the burgers for about 15 minutes per side, or until well done.

4Place buns on the broiler or grill to briefly toast.

5Place burger patties onto the bottom halves of the buns and top each one with a slice of cheese, onion, and some avocado slices. Top with the top buns.
