Ingredients For texas hash

  • 1
    large onion, sliced
  • 1
    large green pepper, diced
  • 1 1/2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 can
    14.5 oz diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 c
    instant minute rice
  • 2 Tbsp
    chili pepper
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 Tbsp
    oil

How To Make texas hash

  • 1
    Place onions and green peppers in oil and fry until partial soften. Add ground beef and cook, stiring until brown.
  • 2
    Drain off fat. Add the other ingredients and stir well. [The dish may be stored in the refrigerator overnight at this point, and baked the next day.]

    Bake covered at 350 degrees for about 30 to 40 minutes.
