Ingredients For tex mex hunters stew

  • 1 lb
    bacon
  • 1 lb
    ground beef or venison
  • 1 lg
    onion chopped about 1 cup
  • 4 clove
    garlic minced
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 3/4 c
    ketchup
  • 3 tsp
    yellow mustard
  • 2 tsp
    cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 2 tsp
    cumin
  • 2 Tbsp
    chopped red jalapeno i used christopher ranch jarred chopped jalapeno
  • 1 lg
    can pork and beans

How To Make tex mex hunters stew

  • 1
    Cook bacon in large skillet. Remove with slotted spoon to drain on paper towels then chop into pieces. Set aside.

    Brown the onions and garlic in bacon grease for about 3 minutes. Add the burger or venison and cook until done.

    In a large bowl mix together the remaining ingredients. Pour over the burger mixture. Cook until heated through about 5 to 7 minutes.

    Stir in the bacon pieces and cook another 2 minutes.
