sweet and sour meatballs

This recipe works well in the slow cooker too... You can add pineapple to change it up a little as well.

Ingredients For sweet and sour meatballs

  • 2 can
    14 oz.cranberry sauce
  • 1 bottle
    400 ml hp sauce original
  • 1 bottle
    400 ml hp sauce fruity
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 c
    white vinegar
  • 1 c
    water
  • 1 can
    pineapple tidbits, optional
  • MEATBALLS:
  • 2 lb
    ground lean ground beef
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 tsp
    onion salt
  • 2 tsp
    dill, dried
  • 1 c
    bread crumbs, fine dry
  • 2
    eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 c
    water

How To Make sweet and sour meatballs

  • 1
    Sauce: Mix all ingredients together in a pot heat until brown sugar is disolved. Set aside.

    Mix all ingredients until well combined, form into 1 inch meatballs.

    Put a few meatballs at a time in frying pan, brown well.
  • 4
    Transfer to Casserole dish and pour sauce over the meatballs and bake in oven for an hour and a half. Serve over rice...Enjoy
