This recipe is a meal in itself. I found this recipe in my Better Homes and Garden Ground meat Cookbook c1973. I have made this recipe and it is tasty. I just love the older recipes minus the calorie reduce ingredients. Enjoy!

Ingredients For stuffed pepper cups

6 medium green peppers
-
1 lb ground beef
-
1/3 cup of chopped onions

1-16 oz can tomatoes, cut up (or 14 oz-19 oz can)

1/2 cup uncooked long grain rice

1 tsp worchestershire sauce
-
1 cup shredded sharp processed cheese
How To Make stuffed pepper cups

1Cut off tops of green pepper; remove seeds and membrane

2scallop edges (optional)

3Precook peppers in boiling salted water 5 minutes; drain (for crisp peppers omit precooking)

4Sprinkle inside of peppers generously with salt

5Brown meat with onion. Add 1/2 tsp salt and dash of pepper

6Stir in tomatoes. rice. and a 1/2 cup water, and Worchestershire sauce
-
7Cover; simmer 15 minutes; stir in cheese
-
8Stuff peppers
-
9Place stuffed peppers in a 10x6x1 1/2 inch baking dish

10Bake at 350F 20-25 minutes
