Ingredients For spicy ground beef and gravy

  • 1 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter or olive oil
  • 1/2 c
    onion, diced
  • 1/2 c
    celery, diced
  • 1 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    thyme, dried
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1/4 c
    flour
  • 2 c
    beef stock
  • 4 c
    cooked rice, mashed potatoes, or noodles

How To Make spicy ground beef and gravy

    In a large skillet, brown beef until no longer pink. Do not drain.

    To the cooked meat in the skillet, add butter or oil , garlic, seasonings, and diced vegetables. Cook until veggies are tender.

    Once veggies are cooked, add flour to the skillet and blend as best you can, cooking and stirring for about a minute. Pour in beef stock, stirring until blended with the flour. Simmer on low until thickened (about 30 minutes)
