spaghetti and meatballs part 1 (meatballs)

I use these meatballs in my spaghetti & meatballs and also on meatball subs. I normally cook them using the baking method as it is much easier and less messy. I can do other things while they bake.

Ingredients For spaghetti and meatballs part 1 (meatballs)

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/2 c
    bread crumbs
  • 2
    eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 c
    grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp
    parsley
  • 1 tsp
    oregano
  • 1 tsp
    basil
  • pepper to taste

How To Make spaghetti and meatballs part 1 (meatballs)

    Mix all ingredients very well.

    Form into 1 to 1 1/2 inch balls. Cook one of 2 ways:

    In skillet, heat 2 Tbsp. olive oil. Cook meatball a few at a time, turning gently to brown all side until done through. Drain on a paper towel lined plate.

    or second method: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place meatballs in a baking pan in a single layer. Bake for 30 minutes to 1 hour until done. Remove from pan with a slotted spoon. Drain on paper towel lined plate.
