1 to 1 1/2 lbbeef roast

1 Tbspolive oil, extra virgin

1 1/2 tspgarlic, minced

2 Tbspsteak sauce (your favorite)

salt and pepper

1 cbeef broth or water and bouillon

1 cdr pepper

1 Tbspstarch

1/2 cwater

1In a skillet over medium high heat add the olive oil and sear the meat on all sides. You can skip this step if you like.

2Transfer the meat and the pan juices to the slow cooker and add the next 5 ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 4.

315 minutes before serving stir the starch into the water and pour in the slow cooker, stir and cover. Let it simmer on the high setting for those 15 minutes for the sauce to thicken.
