Ingredients For salisbury steak and onion gravy

  • 10 1/2 oz
    campbells condensed onion soup (i have often substituted liptons dry onion soup)
  • 1 1/2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/2 c
    fine dry bread crumbs
  • 1
    slightly beaten egg
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • dash of pepper
  • Tbsp
    flour
  • 1/4 c
    ketchup
  • 1/4 c
    water
  • 1 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp
    prepared mustard

How To Make salisbury steak and onion gravy

    In a bowl, combine 1/3 cup soup with beef, breadcrumbs, egg, salt and pepper.

    Shape into 6 oval patties. In skillet, brown patties; pour off fat.

    Gradually blend remaining ingredients, stir to loosen browned bits.

    Cover and cook over low heat 20 minutes or until done, stirring occasionally.
