My family doesn't like a strong tomato flavor in their meat loaf or green peppers so I came up with this recipe many years ago and they always rave about it! Its great with brown gravy or a little A-1 Steak sauce.

Ingredients For mom's meat loaf

  • 2 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 1 pkg
    onion soup mix
  • 1 sm
    onion, grated
  • 3
    eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/4 c
    milk
  • 2 c
    saltine crackers, finely crushed
  • 1 Tbsp
    steak sauce
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper

How To Make mom's meat loaf

  • 1
    Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, mix well until thoroughly blended. Press into a large loaf pan and bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
