I made this for dinner tonight. Not only was it tasty, but it's made with ingredients I always keep on hand and it comes together fast. Enjoy!

Ingredients For mexican taco lasagna

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 pkg
    taco seasoning mix
  • 3/4 c
    chunky salsa, divided
  • 6
    6-inch flour tortillas
  • 1 can
    refried beans (16 oz)
  • 2 c
    Mexican blend shredded cheese
  • taco sauce

How To Make mexican taco lasagna

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Brown ground beef in a skillet. Drain grease. Mix in taco seasoning. Then stir in 1/4 cup of salsa.

    Spread refried beans on one side of each tortilla. Depending on your family's preference, go as heavy or as light as you want.

    In a 9x13 baking dish, add a small amount of the meat mixture on the bottom and spread to cover the bottom.

    Next, layer 2 of the tortillas with the beans down.

    Then, top the tortillas with a little meat and cheese.

    Layer 2 more times for a total of 3 layers. In the final layer, add the rest of the meat mixture, remaining 1/2 cup salsa, and a few shakes of taco sauce.

    Top with cheese.

    Bake uncovered for 20 minutes or until melted and bubbly.

    Serve with toppings such as sour cream, jalapeño, guacamole, etc.
