home made chili
This is easy to adjust to your taste. If you want it spicier, just add more chili powder or a little crushed red pepper flakes. The ground cumin is what gives this that greate flavor.

How To Make home made chili
-
1Saute onion, garlic, and green pepper until translucent.
-
2Add ground beef. Cook until browned.
-
3Put into a large pot and add diced tomatoes, salt, black pepper, chili powder, ground cumin, parsley, basil, and oregano. Over medium heat, bring to a slow boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 2 1/2 hrs. Add kidney beans (with liquid) and simmer for another 30 minutes.
-
4All of the seasonings can be adjusted up or down to taste. You can also use powdered garlic in place of fresh. Just add with the other seasonings (about 1 1/2 tsp.). When adding the diced tomatoes, if it's too thick or thin you can add more or less.
