Ingredients For great beef stew!

  • 4 lb
    beef stew meat or venison, cubed and fat removed
  • 1 md
    yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 bag
    baby carrots
  • 6-8 md
    potatoes peeled and cubed
  • 2
    celery stalks, chopped
  • 8 c
    water
  • 4 pkg
    pioneer brown gravy mix
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make great beef stew!

  • 1
    Boil meat, onions and celery in water for 10 minutes. Add carrots, potatoes, salt and pepper. Simmer for 60-90 minutes. Remove 2 cups of broth and whisk in gravy mix then re-add to soup making sure there are no lumps. Let stand for 15 minutes and serve with cornbread.
