My dad made this a lot when I was younger. The other day he made it, and I remembered how good it was. This dish is very versatile as well. It can be eaten plain, in a sandwich, or with pasta. It would also be good with barbecue sauce, tomatoes, or a variety of other additions and seasonings. The possibilities are endless.

Ingredients For dad's chuck-wagon beef and beans

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 can
    pork and beans
  • 1 can
    sliced mushrooms
  • 1 sm
    onion, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • ketchup and mustard, optional

    Fry beef and onion together.

    Add pork and beans and mushrooms. Heat through.
