This is usually served over rice but I through it in a flour tortilla and it was great. My son put it in a bun and loved it.

Ingredients For cuban ropa vieja (shredded beef)

  • 3 lb
    flank steak cut into strips
  • 5 Tbsp
    oil
  • 6 clove
    garlic minced
  • 1 lg
    onion diced
  • 1 lg
    green pepper diced
  • 8 oz
    tomato sauce
  • 1 c
    white wine
  • 6 oz
    sofrito sauce
  • 1 c
    goya mojo criollo sauce

How To Make cuban ropa vieja (shredded beef)

    Heat 3 tbsp olive oil and brown meat on all sides. Remove from pan.

    Add remaining oil and saute onion, and green pepper. Add garlic and cook until translucent.

    Add remaining ingredients and meat. Simmer 1 1/2 hours or until meat can be shredded with fork.
