Dad made this and the smell wafting from the kitchen drew everyone to the table before he was done. Flour tortillas and a salad - can't be beat.

2 Tbsponion - chopped

2 Tbspgreen chillies, chopped

2 Tbspflour

1/2 tspcumin

1/2 tspchili powder

2 cbeef bouillion, hot
How To Make carne guisada

1Rub salt and pepper into both sides of meat; coat with flour and place in a roasting pan with lid. (cast iron is preferable) Cook in 250 degree oven for 4 hours.

2Remove meat to cutting board and cut into 1/2 inch cubes.

3Over medium heat bring juices to a fast simmer and add onion, peppers, garlic, cumin, and chili powder. Cook 4 or 5 minutes and add the flour - stirring to keep from lumping. When flour starts to thicken add bouillion.

4Add meat, cover and cook in 200 degree over for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
