Ingredients For beef stew

  • 2-4 lb
    beef chuck stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    salt, or to taste
  • 1 tsp
    fresh ground black pepper, or to taste
  • 3 c
    beef broth
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 3 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 2
    bay leaves
  • 6 sm
    potatoes, quartered
  • 2-3
    onions, chopped
  • 3 stalk
    celery, sliced

How To Make beef stew

  • 1
    Season the meat with salt and pepper. Dredge in the flour and place in a crock-pot.

    Add the remaining ingredients and stir them well.

    Cover the pot and cook until the meat is tender, 8-10 hours on low, or on high for 5-6 hours. Stir and serve.
