This thought just came to me - what if you used 2 flour tortillas for a pizza crust, held together with cheese in the middle like glue? I found some HUGE flour tortillas at Earth Fare, they were 12-13 inches in diameter, just the perfect size for my baking stone. Here is how this pizza turned out.

Ingredients For pizza experiment

  • 2
    very large wraps (flour tortillas) about 12-13 inches in diameter
  • 1 1/2 c
    shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/3 c
    pizza sauce
  • 6 slice
    provolone cheese
  • 1 Tbsp
    mixed italian seasoning
  • toppings: bacon, peppers, onions, pepperoni
  • 2-3 Tbsp
    (or more) grated parmesan cheese

How To Make pizza experiment

    Preheat oven to 400°. Start by placing one wrap onto a baking stone or pizza pan. Sprinkle 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese evenly over the wrap.

    Place the second wrap on top of the first. Spread pizza sauce all over the upper wrap.

    Cut the Provolone cheese into small wedges and arrange on top of pizza sauce. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning and remaining mozzarella cheese.

    Arrange toppings, such as bacon, green peppers, onions, olives over cheese.

    Finally, top pizza with pepperoni slices and Parmesan cheese. Bake at 400° about 11-13 minutes, until toppings are done to your liking.
