Ingredients For pasta in vodka sauce

  • 1 lb
    penne or ziti
  • 1
    small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp
    garlic, minced
  • 1 can
    petite diced tomatoes (14 oz.)
  • 1 tsp
    sugar
  • 1/8 c
    vodka
  • 3/4 c
    heavy cream

How To Make pasta in vodka sauce

    Prepare penne according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large, well-oiled skillet over medium-high heat, sauté onion for 5 minutes or until translucent. Add minced garlic; sauté 1 minute.

    Add tomatoes and sugar, reduce heat to medium and simmer for 20 minutes. Add vodka; season with salt and pepper and cook for 1 – 2 minutes. Add cream and cook just until heated through. In a large bowl, combine pasta and sauce.
