    extra lean ground beef**
  • 1 can
    (large) hunts tomato sauce
  • 1 can
    hunts petite diced tomatoes
  • 1 can
    hunts tomato paste
  • 1 lg
    onion, minced
  • 1 lg
    bell pepper, minced
  • 1
    rib of celery, minced
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder (not garlic salt)
  • 2 Tbsp
    ground oregano
  • 1 Tbsp
    dried oregano leaves
  • 1 Tbsp
    dried basil leaves

    bay leaves
  • 1 tsp
    fiesta chili mix (optional)
  • 1 tsp
    italian seasoning (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp
    sea salt

How To Make like mom makes it spaghetti (sallye)

    ** You may substitute 1# ground beef and 1# Italian sausage (or 2# italian sausage) In a large skillet or dutch oven, sear meat, onions, bell peppers and celery.Add garlic powder, salt & pepper to taste, mixing well

    Add tomato sauce & paste, tomatoes, and 4 tomato sauce cans of water to meat mixture Add spices and stir well

    Reduce heat to barely simmering and simmer for at least 30 minutes to get full body of spices. You may have to add additional water or spices to taste. Stir frequently to avoid sticking

    Serve over any kind of pasta (Penne is our favorite) Sprinkle with fresh grated parmesan cheese Good with toasted garlic bread and crisp green salad.
