Ingredients For lentils with pasta

1 lbbag of lentils

1 mdwhite onion (chopped)

1 1/2 cchopped carrots

1 1/2 cchopped celery
-
1 cantomato paste
-
10 cwater
-
2chicken bouillon cubes (optional)
-
a little olive oil to saute onions

1 lbmacaroni (cooked) (elbow or ditilini)

1 Tbsphot pepper (optional)

1 pinchsalt (but remember you have the bouillon cubes in there)

1 pinchblack pepper

can(small) tomatoe sauce (only if you like a more tomatoey taste
How To Make lentils with pasta

1Rinse and drain your Lentils In a large pot add a little Olive oil (just enough to blond your onions) - then add tomato paste and Lentils and saute for a couple of minutes. Add 10-12 cups of water Bring to a boil Add salt and pepper (to taste)- you can even add a shot of hot pepper if you like it hot! and your chicken bouillon cubes (optional) Add your carrots and celery. Cover and let cook for about 1-2 hours. Don't forget to stir! You may add Escerole if you like a vegetable but be sure to add it early on so it cooks well Enjoy!

2Add water...bring to boil....then add celery and carrots....Let simmer and stir occassionally....the longer you cook...the better it is....

3You can make a pound of Ditilini or Elbow macaroni and pour the Lentils over it for a delicious meal!
