My family loves my meatballs. I sometime use this same recipe to make a meatloaf.

Ingredients For italian meatballs

  • 2 lb
    ground beef
  • 3 md
    italian sausage, remove casings
  • 4 lg
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    grated romano or parmeson cheese
  • 1 c
    fine bread crumbs
  • 1/2 c
    minced onion
  • 1/4 c
    parsley flakes
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    oregano, dried
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    basil, dried

How To Make italian meatballs

  • 1
    Shape into balls about golf ball size (keep hands moistened with water)
  • 2
    Brown in about 1/2 cup olive oil. Drain and add to simmering spaghetti sauce. Simmer for at least an hour or so.

    Tastes even better if made a day ahead & refrigerated over-nite then reheated. My family all love this recipe.
