Nothing like a fresh mushroom pizza. Very earthy tasting. I always sprinkle a little crushed red hot pepper flakes on top to give it a bite.

Ingredients For easy deep dish fresh mushroom pizza

1 Tbspolive oil

1 ptrefrigerated pizza dough ball, room temp.

1/2 cmarinara sauce, i used prego

1/4 lbmozzarella cheese, sliced thin

1/4 lbfresh mushrooms, sliced

hot pepper flakes, optional
How To Make easy deep dish fresh mushroom pizza

1Heat oven to 500. Using a paper towel, oil the bottom and sides of a lg cast iron skillet. On lightly floured surface, shape dough w/ hands, into a circle, a few inches larger than skillet.

2Place dough in pan, gently press dough up the sides of pan. Spread sauce across dough. Top w/ cheese and mushrooms. sprinkle w/ red pepper flakes, if using.

3Bake 20 mins, or until cheese is melted and bubbly, and crust is browned. Transfer to cutting board. Slice into wedges.
